Build – Operate – Transfer (BOT) in Poland

Build your technology hub in Poland. Operate it with local support. Transfer it in-house.

MOTIFE helps international technology companies establish dedicated teams and operations in Poland through a structured Build Operate Transfer model. We recruit the team, create and operate the local organization, and prepare it for transfer into your company’s ownership. You gain an operational technology hub without having to build every local capability from day one, while keeping a clear path towards a fully owned Polish operation.

How the MOTIFE Build Operate Transfer model works

Build Operate Transfer is designed for companies that ultimately want to own their team and local operations but need an experienced partner to establish and manage them during the first stage.

The team is built specifically for your organization. Employees work on your products, use your technology, and become part of your company culture. The operating structure, processes, employment arrangements, and local capabilities are developed with the future transfer in mind.

MOTIFE takes responsibility for the initial build and operation of the Polish hub. Once the agreed transfer conditions are met, the team and operating structure move under your ownership.

01

Build

We establish the foundations of your Polish technology hub. Together, we define the target team, operating model, budget, governance, and transfer objectives. MOTIFE then sets up the local structure and recruits employees dedicated to your organization.

The building stage can include:

• BOT strategy and implementation plan
• location and talent-market assessment
• team structure and hiring plan
• entity setup or interim employment model
• recruitment and onboarding
• HR, payroll, finance, IT, and office setup
• local supplier coordination

02

Operate

MOTIFE manages the local organization while the team grows and prepares for independence. Your company remains responsible for product, technology, delivery, and engineering standards. MOTIFE manages the local employment, HR, payroll, compliance, administration, and workplace operations.

The operate stage can include:

• employment and HR administration
• payroll, benefits, and compliance
• continued recruitment and onboarding
• finance and accounting coordination
• office, IT, and supplier management
• employee engagement and retention
• operational reporting
• development of local support and leadership capabilities

03

Transfer

Once the team and operating structure are ready, ownership and responsibility move to your organization. Because the transfer is planned from the start, MOTIFE prepares the people, processes, contracts, documentation, and local responsibilities required for an orderly handover.

The transfer can include:

• ownership of the Polish entity
• transfer of employees
• handover of HR, payroll, finance, and administration
• transition of supplier agreements
• transfer of documentation and company records
• employee communication and change management
• post-transfer stabilization support

Build where global tech companies already operate

Poland is no longer an emerging or experimental market. It is already a mature technology hub used by global companies to build, scale, and operate software engineering, product, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and business technology teams.

This is reflected in the structure of the local talent market. Around 84% of IT professionals work for international companies. The market is also highly experienced, with nearly 50% of the IT talent pool having more than 10 years ofprofessional experience.

Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Motorola Solutions, HSBC, EPAM, Capgemini, State Street, UBS, Aptiv, HERE Technologies, and Hitachi Energy have built significant technology operations in Poland.

The market already has experienced managers, senior engineers, international delivery know-how, mature HR practices, and a deep vendor ecosystem.
